Big changes for the Google Video Help Forum

As we announced awhile back, we will no longer be offering uploads to Google Video. We're focusing on making Google Video an even better place for you to easily search for videos from all over the web. Along with this change, we're sad to announce that we'll be closing this Google Video Forum.

Since Google Video will be focused on search, much like Web Search or Image Search, this forum is going to be moving to the Web Search Help Forum. We encourage you to check out the Web Search Help Forum and to stay involved.

What's going on with Insight for Google Video?

As you know, we've announced that in a little while we will no longer be supporting uploads to Google Video. Since our team will be focusing on improving the search experience, we've decided that the Insight feature will be discontinued. This is scheduled to happen around late March.

I apologize for the confusion and frustrations, and do appreciate all those who spent time helping troubleshoot issues and providing feedback. As I mentioned before, we were weighing different options to decide the best route to take.

For those of you who are big fans of the feature- you can check out the Insight feature for your YouTube videos!

What happened to the Most watched, Most shared, etc. links ?

We're constantly experimenting and working to improve Google Video. While we're removing this feature, we're working on some exciting new features. Stay tuned to see what's coming in the next few months!

Concerns about spam in search results

Some of you have been posting about your concerns with spam appearing in search results. We're looking into the issue, and the team is working on resolving this.

On that note, there have been some questions posted that contain links to the sites. I know the intent is to include it for the sake of your question & reporting the issue, but we do want to keep the forum safe for all users.

Since we don't allow links that drive users to those types of sites, I've removed the posts that contain those URLs. You can still post questions about the issue, just be mindful about what you include. For a refresher, check out our forum posting guidelines.
